On Friday, October 11, 2019 from 9:00am-2:30pm Our kids will be participating in a Fun Run. This is a great way for students to get exercise while raising money for the Oakland PTA.
Each child will run for 20 minutes.
How do you get involved?
1. When you register your student online with get moving crew, your student will get a lanyard, and you (yes, you parents/guardians) will be entered in a drawing for one of four $25 Target gift cards. For families with multiple children, each child registered will earn you another entry in the drawing.
2. Students can ask people to pledge a one-time donation. Donations can be submitted online with the Get Movin’ Crew https://www.getmovinfundhub.com Cash donations can be returned to school with the attached flyer below. All funds raised are due no later than Thursday, October 17th. Checks should be made payable to Oakland PTA.
3. When your student raises their first $25 in donations they will be awarded a fun monster keychain to add to their lanyard. For each additional $25 raised by your student an additional keychain will be awarded.
4. For every $1,000 raised, the top raising students will be able to ‘pie’ our favorite Principal – Mr. Lynch. Help us meet our goal of 8 pies!
5.The top raising classroom will get our first ‘fun run champs’ trophy to retain for the year with bragging rights and an ice cream party.
This is our biggest fundraiser of the year to raise money to support our students and teachers with school enrichment activities (PTA sponsored events and classroom field trips) and assistance with the purchase of technology, books, supplies, and equipment. Your participation and support are greatly appreciated!!!! We can’t do this without you!
