There is no better way to stay informed on what’s happening in our school than by becoming a member. Be a part of a powerful association than can advocate on behalf of children and educators at the local, state and national levels.
If you don't want to join online, you can print the form below and fill it out. Submit it with your check to the PTA mailbox at the school office.
Common myths about joining the PTA
If I join they are going to expect me to be in the school all the time and running events?
-Sure, we would love for you to be an active member, but you are not required to do anything more than just join. Part of your membership cost goes towards the PTA budget which is used to fund school events, field trips, and support the teachers/students with supplies, etc.
I don’t know anybody on the PTA, they are all friends and I will feel like an outsider.
-It can be intimidating to approach a group of people who are already connected. The important thing to keep in mind is that the common thread that ties us ALL together is our students. We are all working towards this common goal and would love to make our village a little broader and welcome you to be a part of it.
I work full time, I don’t have any extra time for the PTA.
-Did you know that almost all the PTA board members and most of our PTA families are working parents? We understand how limited time is as a resource for all of us. In fact, the reason that some of our PTA members join is because they don’t have time to be around school very often. By joining the PTA you are included on communications that help you stay in tune with what is happening at the school. Additionally, the bigger our ‘village’ of PTA parents, the easier it is to support our students.
I can only support the PTA by being at the school.
-Not true! You can support the PTA in many ways without ever being physically in the school. Ways you can contribute are: Participating in fundraisers, donating items requested for PTA sponsored events, and even just spreading the word about joining and participating in the PTA with the parents or guardians of your student’s friends.
